Disorderly Conduct

John Iannarelli

The Oddities Of My 20-Year Life As An FBI Special Agent

Disorderly Conduct is a collection of the lesser known true stories from the FBI, though not less entertaining. Witness the oddities of an FBI Agent’s job, from the memorable arrests to truly bizarre search warrant discoveries. Disorderly Conduct takes the reader behind the scenes to reveal the lighter moments of law enforcement that are arrestingly funny.

John Iannarelli

John Iannarelli (a.k.a. “FBI John”) served for more than twenty years as an FBI Special Agent and was also the Bureau’s national spokesperson. His investigative work included the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 9/11 attack, the Sony hack, numerous bank robberies, kidnappings, and other assorted crimes. But if you are looking for those stories this is not the book for you. While most law enforcement matters are deadly serious, there’s another side to the job that every cop, agent, trooper, investigator, and detective knows is humorous.

Praise for Disorderly Conduct

“I support all law enforcement, including the elite of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. ‘FBI John’ is not only one of my favorite guests on my Joe Piscopo Radio Show, but he has a wicked sense of humor. His book will keep you laughing with his hysterical anecdotes from his years behind the badge, and you just might learn something, too.”

Joe Piscopo

former Saturday Night Live cast member, comedian, and host of the Joe Piscopo Radio Show

“In his own words John’s mantra was: ‘Be nice to everyone you meet but just in case, have a plan to kill them.’ Disorderly Conduct is John Iannarelli’s memoir of his twenty- year career with the FBI. As you read this entertaining book, John reveals much of the behind-the-scenes life of an FBI agent and shares with us several of his interesting cases, some dangerous, some whimsical and some quite funny. Without getting dark or political, Disorderly Conduct is without a doubt a great read.”

Kenny Kramer

the real Kramer of NBC’s Seinfeld

“To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the most unlikely words in the English language are: I’m from the FBI and I’m here to make you smile. I’ve seen plenty of fiction about funny cops — from Leslie Nielsen to Andy Samberg — but I assumed that real-life lawmen, especially in the FBI, never so much as grinned. Wow, was I mistaken. John Iannarelli has written a thoroughly enjoyable book with the very message that we promote on Candid Camera: Life is filled with humorous surprises. You just have to know where to look for them.”
